Not a book by Michael Moorcock, Queens of Deliria is in fact the second volume in a trilogy of titles (mostly) by author and Savoy Books co-founder Michael Butterworth, based on an idea by Michael Moorcock”. It was preceded by a textual novel, The Time Of The Hawklords (1976, originally credited to both Moorcock & Butterworth) and followed some years later by a graphic novel, Ledge Of Darkness * (1994), with an initial script by Butterworth and “plot hijack and artwork” by Bob Walker. All three books feature the Hawklords, entirely fictitious [characters] based on roles used by members of Hawkwind on stage and recorded performances. Queens Of Deliria has twice been revised by its author (see below)…
