The History Of The Runestaff is an omnibus of the first of two separate series featuring Duke Dorian Hawkmoon von Köln, collecting The Jewel In The Skull (1967), The Mad God’s Amulet (1968/’69), The Sword Of The Dawn (1968) and The Runestaff (1969). It was preceded by a paperback box set (c. 1973), before being bound in 1979 as a single hardcover volume which was later retitled in that format (but with texts revised in 1977) as Hawkmoon (1993) and Hawkmoon: The History Of The Runestaff (2013).
