Jerry Cornelius — the ambiguous, amoral, androgynous English Assassin —

The Great Rock ’n’ Roll Swindle is a supplementary novel to the Cornelius tetralogy, originally published to coincide with the release of the Sex Pistols’ film of the same name, although that is pretty much where all similarities both begin and end. It was revised and retitled as ‘Gold Diggers Of 1977 (Ten Claims That Won Our Hearts)’ for inclusion in the 1989 collection Casablanca, and was also included in that form in the 1993 omnibus A Cornelius Calendar, although that volume’s 2015 expanded edition reverted to the original title and text.
