‘Dead Singers’

(a.k.a. ‘All The Dead Singers’)

Jerry Cornelius — the ambiguous, amoral, androgynous English Assassin —

‘Dead Singers’ was titled, when it first appeared, as “All The Dead Singers” against Moorcock’s wishes. It has subsequently only ever appeared as ‘Dead Singers’, not to be confused with another, unconnected story called ‘A Dead Singer’ (q.v., 1974). To add to that confusion, ‘A Dead Singer’ had a one-off retitling as ‘Dead Singers’ in the collection Lunching With The Antichrist (1995).
