Part autobiography and part fantasy adventure, The Whispering Swarm is, as stated by its sub-title, “Book One of the Sanctuary of the White Friars”, although by the time of the heavily re-edited, definitive British edition (see below), that addition had disappeared and indeed proved of little relevance to the book’s first sequel, The Woods Of Arcady (2023), which oddly also included the sub-title “Book Two of the Sanctuary of the White Friars”. A third volume, The Wounds Of Albion, is (at the time of writing) as yet unpublished.
