A (more or less) standalone novel, The Shores Of Death was first serialised in New Worlds (q.v.) in 1964. It first appeared in book form, substantially revised/“rewritten”, in 1966 as The Twilight Man, before being title-reverted back to The Shores of Death in 1970. It was collected (as Shores…) re-revised in The Roads Between The Worlds (1996), and later with its original 1966 text (mostly) restored in Moorcock’s Multiverse (2014).
