Jerry Cornelius — the ambiguous, amoral, androgynous English Assassin —
A Twist in The Lines is a standalone edition of a 2011 short story. According to Piece of Paper Press, “Each book is manufactured from a single A4 sheet that is printed on both sides using a photocopier or a domestic printer, and then folded, stapled and trimmed by hand to create the book”. Despite also stating (in promotional material) that “Piece of Paper Press is delighted to present the first publication – in a limited, numbered edition of 150 copies – of ‘A Twist in the Lines’, a new Jerry Cornelius story by Michael Moorcock”, it was in fact first published in Multiverse Expanded (in association with a 2011 exhibition of the same name at the Akershus Kunstsenter gallery in Norway). The story was also later collected in London Bone And Other Stories (2016).
